ls We all have an Inner Child with in us. Carl Jung called it the "Divine Child". Childhood traumas are often ignored, diverted, numbed out, denied, drugged out, swept under the carpet or hidden deep in our subconscious where they can and do wreck havoc. Those of us who have been neglected, or abused mentally, physically, emotionally, psychologically, sexually, or spiritually during childhood, invariably have an Inner Child that feels any or all of the following: despair, abandoned, rejected, hurt, angry, resentful, depressed, scared, lonely, less-than, shamed, guilty, unlovable and insecure. These show themselves in our relationships and mental, emotional and physical health as an adult; tainting how we see and experience, act and react to life. “If you bring forth what is within you, what is within you will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what is within you will destroy you.” The Gospel of St Thomas - Gnostic Gospe
